Geodoku is a game I build on my own. No account needed: I only collect the bare minimum, just enough to run the game and see how the grids are doing.
No sign-up, no login, no ads. I don't sell data or use it for advertising. There are no advertising trackers on the site.
Your browser keeps a few settings: your language, in a preference cookie set only if you pick one; the language of the country you connect from, in a session cookie holding only that language, to suggest the right version; and in local storage the current grid progress, your practice games on past grids, a random anti-spam identifier, and short-lived technical keys used to deduplicate submissions. None of it is an advertising cookie. Clearing the site data removes it.
While you play, I record aggregated picks per cell, game outcomes, and difficulty feedback. To make retries reliable, the server keeps a technical receipt of the action (for example its cell and country) with an opaque key for seven days, without a stable identifier linking your actions. Pseudonymous usage events also help me understand the journey. None of this contains a name, email, or account.
Geodoku relies on Vercel (hosting and audience metrics without advertising cookies), Convex (the game statistics database), and PostHog (pseudonymous usage-event measurement with an identifier stored locally, without advertising). Google Fonts also receives your IP address when fonts load.
There is no account to access. Clearing Geodoku site data removes local settings and identifiers. For questions about pseudonymous data sent to third-party services, contact me below.
